Rajan Govindan is a fulltime resident of Kiawah Island for the last 6 years after spending the previous 40 plus years in Connecticut. He holds a Masters degree in Operations Research and an undergraduate degree in Structural Engineering From BITS, India. His business background includes Finance and Business Management at various Banking and Investment Management Institutions. He is a long time Trustee of Prashanti Trust a not-for-profit organization that raises money to provide free medical care services to the poor in India. He currently volunteers as a reading Partner at Angel Oak Elementary School and also volunteers with Tax-Aide Charleston to help poor and elderly Johns Island residents prepare and file their taxes with the IRS.
