Assisting the SC Department of Archives and History ("Archives") in carrying out the Ashley River Historic District Special Area Management Plan by opposing dock permits.

In 2002, Archives intervened in three appeals in which dock permits were denied. Two of those cases were successfully settled. The third case resulted in a ruling by an Administrative Law Judge that the permit was properly denied. The permit applicant has appealed, and the case is pending before the Coastal Zone Management Appellate Panel.
