16th Annual Wild Side Recap

The 16th Annual Wild Side, presented by Biohabitats, was held on Saturday, October 4 at the beautiful Kaminski House in the heart of Georgetown.

Guests enjoyed an evening of live music from Columbia-based pop-folk duo Prettier Than Matt, delicious cuisine from Get Carried Away Catering, cocktails and a fabulous online auction.

This year's featured speaker, Dr. Pamela Martin, shared insights on global environmental policy and the rights of nature.

As the sun began to set across the river, Executive Director Amy Armstrong talked about our work across the state, from advancing local level wetlands protections along the coast, to defending the Mountville community in Pickens County against massive poultry barns, to ensuring that Bramlett – the long-forgotten and much-polluted former coal gasification site in Greenville’s Westside community – is finally getting the robust clean up needed to protect its residents.

It was a wonderful and meaningful occasion, and we are so grateful to the many businesses, organizations, volunteers, friends and family who have made this event possible and more successful year after year since 2010.

We want to extend a final thank you to the many businesses, organizations, volunteers, friends and family who made this year's Wild Side possible. We couldn't have pulled it off without you! Your generous support allows our attorneys to keep fighting for the wild side of South Carolina that we all know and love so dearly. Special thanks to Tanya Ackerman for the great photography seen on this page!
